Three Cy-Fair ISD Football Teams Advance to Area Playoffs Following Bi-District Wins

Three football teams from the Cy-Fair ISD (CFISD) are set to continue their postseason journeys, having secured victories in their respective bi-district playoff games. Bridgeland, Cypress Ranch, and Cypress Falls high schools all triumphed in their opening playoff matchups and will advance to the area playoffs this week.

In the Division I Region II-6A playoff bracket, the Bridgeland Bears emerged victorious over Klein Oak with a 24-17 win on Nov. 15 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium, located at 8877 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress. The Bears will face Conroe in the area playoffs on Friday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. at Tomball ISD Stadium, located at 20235 Cypress Rosehill Road.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to continue our playoff run,” said the Bridgeland coaching staff. “The team played hard and is looking forward to a great matchup with Conroe.”

Cypress Ranch also claimed a 27-17 victory over Klein Cain on Nov. 15 at Klein Memorial Stadium. The Mustangs will now take on The Woodlands on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium.

“We’ve worked hard all season for this moment, and we’re ready for the challenge ahead,” said Cypress Ranch’s head coach. “The team has shown resilience, and we’re eager to continue pushing forward in the playoffs.”

In the Division I Region III-6A playoff bracket, Cypress Falls delivered an impressive 59-7 victory over Houston Bellaire on Nov. 14 at Pridgeon Stadium. The Golden Eagles are set to face Katy in the area playoffs on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. at Tully Stadium, located at 1050 Dairy Ashford Street.

“We are very proud of the team’s performance, and we are looking forward to facing Katy in what promises to be an exciting game,” said Cypress Falls' coaching staff.

Meanwhile, the Cy-Fair High School Bobcats and Cypress Woods High School Wildcats were eliminated from the playoffs after close losses in their bi-district matchups. The Bobcats finished their season as Division I Region III bi-district finalists following a 23-19 defeat to Houston Lamar on Nov. 15. The Wildcats ended their season as Division II Region II bi-district finalists after a 32-29 loss to Klein Collins on Nov. 14. Similarly, the Cypress Springs Panthers saw their season come to an end as Division II Region II bi-district finalists, losing 35-25 to Tomball on Nov. 16.

Fans eager to support their teams in the next round can purchase tickets for the area playoff games. Tickets for the Bridgeland vs. Conroe and Cypress Ranch vs. The Woodlands games are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for students. Pre-sale tickets for the Cypress Falls vs. Katy game are available for $8 for adults, $6 for students, and $10 on game day.
