Three CFISD Baseball Teams Earn Bi-District Playoff Victories

Three CFISD baseball teams advanced past the bi-district round of the Class 6A playoffs and move on to the area round this week, while Bridgeland, Cypress Falls and Cypress Ranch high schools concluded their seasons and finished as bi-district finalists. 

Cypress Woods High School defeated Tomball Memorial in a best-of-three series by the scores of 7-2 and 11-1. The Wildcats advance to face Conroe Oak Ridge in a best-of-three series at New Caney ISD’s West Fork High School (180 Sorters McClellan Road): 
  • Game 1: 7 p.m. on May 11; 
  • Game 2: 7 p.m. on May 12; and 
  • Game 3, if necessary: 1 p.m. on May 13. 
Cypress Creek High School defeated Houston Heights in a best-of-three series by the scores of 7-3 and 3-2. The Cougars advance to face Katy Tompkins in a best-of-three series: 
  • Game 1: 6:30 p.m. on May 11 at Cypress Springs High School (7909 Fry Road); 
  • Game 2: 6:30 p.m. on May 12 at Bridgeland High School (10707 Mason Road); and 
  • Game 3, if necessary: 11 a.m. on May 13 at Cypress Springs High School. 
Cypress Creek High School junior Edgar Flores and the Cougars won their bi-district series against Houston Heights to advance to the area round. They will face Katy Tompkins in a best-of-three series beginning May 11. 
 
Cy-Fair High School defeated Houston Westside in a best-of-three series by the scores of 11-1 and 5-2. The Bobcats advance to face Katy in a best-of-three series at Langham Creek High School (17610 FM Road 529): 
  • Game 1: 7 p.m. on May 11; 
  • Game 2: 7 p.m. on May 12; and 
  • Game 3, if necessary: noon on May 13. 
Cy-Fair High School senior Jake Choate and the Bobcats swept Houston Westside to advance to the area round. They will face Katy in a best-of-three series at Langham Creek High School. 
 

Tickets for games will be $5 each (adults and students) and sold online. 

Games at West Fork High School will be sold online through New Caney ISD. 

All remaining games will be sold online through CFISD. Individual ticket links will be available for Cy-Fair and Cypress Creek. 

Bridgeland High School was defeated by Klein Collins in a best-of-three series by the scores 3-13, 4-2 and 3-9. The Bears were District 16-6A’s second seed and finished as bi-district finalists. 

Cypress Falls High School was defeated by Klein Oak in a best-of-three series by the scores of 3-12 and 4-15. The Golden Eagles were District 16-6A’s fourth seed and finished as bi-district finalists. 

Cypress Ranch High School was defeated by Tomball in a best-of-three series by the scores 0-3 and 4-5. The Mustangs were District 16-6A’s third seed and finished as bi-district finalists.
