Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Hosts Sweet Treats Summer Camp for Young Culinary Enthusiasts in Fort Bend County

June 26 2024

As the Texas heat swells, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Fort Bend County is on a mission to dial up the delicious fun with their upcoming Sweet Treats summer camp. A magical blend of culinary education and sun-filled adventure, the one-day camp will be held at Long Acres Ranch in Richmond on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

Under the theme "Sweet Treats", the camp will provide children aged eight through 18 with the opportunity to hone their cookie and ice cream making skills with hands-on sessions. They'll explore a spectrum of flavors and toppings to create their own signature treats, and learn artistic decorating techniques that will elevate their edible masterpieces to Instagram-worthy levels.

The camp isn’t just about delicious indulgence. It's also a platform for youngsters to learn essential kitchen safety and cooking skills in a fun and supportive environment. What better way to forge new friendships than through a shared passion for all things sweet? The camp is designed to provide the perfect blend of culinary fun and sunny adventures, offering attendees an unforgettable summer experience.
