Taylor High School’s Mustang Theatre Brings Magic to the Stage with Peter and the Starcatcher This November
The curtain is rising on a tale of pirates, lost boys, and a little bit of starstuff, as Taylor High School’s Mustang Theatre prepares to enchant audiences with its fall production of Peter and the Starcatcher. The show will run for two nights only — Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8 — at 7:00 p.m. in the Taylor High School Performing Arts Center.
The production brings a whimsical twist to a beloved classic, offering a clever and heartfelt origin story for the legendary Peter Pan. With high-energy performances, imaginative storytelling, and a touch of comedy, Peter and the Starcatcher promises an evening of fun for all ages — making it a perfect outing for Katy families, students, and local theatre fans.
Set before the events of Peter Pan, the Tony Award-winning play follows a young orphan boy who finds himself aboard a mysterious ship alongside a courageous girl named Molly, a trunk full of magical starstuff, and a cast of unforgettable characters. Together, they navigate dangerous seas, dodge pirates, and discover what it truly means to grow up — or not to.
Mustang Theatre has earned a strong reputation across Katy ISD for its commitment to creative excellence and student-led talent, and this fall production is no exception. Community members are encouraged to come out and support the hard work of these dedicated young performers, technicians, and directors, many of whom have been rehearsing for weeks to bring the story to life.
