StoneGators Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A Gives Stone Gate Families a Fun Way to Support Summer Swim Season
As summer swim season ramps up across Cypress-area neighborhoods, Stone Gate area families will have a chance to support one of the community’s longtime youth traditions during the upcoming StoneGators Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A in Towne Lake.
The fundraiser will take place Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Towne Lake Chick-fil-A, located at 9823 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress. Community members are invited to stop by for dinner while helping raise funds for the StoneGators Swim Club as the team heads into another busy Northwest Aquatic League season.
For many Stone Gate residents, the StoneGators are more than just a summer swim team. Since joining the Northwest Aquatic League (NWAL) in 2001, the program has become a familiar part of summer for neighborhood families, bringing together young swimmers, parents, coaches, and volunteers during the hottest months of the year.
The team practices and hosts activities at the Riata Ranch Pool on Riata Ranch Boulevard, where swimmers spend weeks building endurance, learning teamwork, and competing against other area teams throughout the spring and early summer season.
According to the club, the organization’s mission is centered on promoting competitive summer swimming while encouraging good sportsmanship and providing a safe, fun environment for every participant. Swim season typically runs from mid-April through the end of June.
Events like spirit nights help offset operational costs throughout the season while also giving residents a simple way to support local youth athletics close to home. Community fundraising efforts often help swim clubs cover equipment, team activities, league expenses, and other seasonal needs that keep programs running smoothly.
The event also reflects the strong neighborhood culture that has long surrounded summer swim leagues across the Cypress and northwest Houston area, where teams often serve as an important social connection point for families and children during summer break.
For newer residents in Stone Gate, the spirit night offers an easy opportunity to meet neighbors, connect with other parents, and support a program that has been part of the community for more than two decades.
As temperatures rise and swim meets begin filling local calendars, the StoneGators are preparing for another season of early morning practices, neighborhood pride, and summer memories in the pool.
Residents who would like more information about the StoneGators Swim Club can visit the team’s website or contact the organization at communications@stonegators.org.
