Your local libraries have lots of fun, engaging activities coming up this week for all ages. Check out this lineup of free programming and get plugged in!

The Cinco Ranch Branch Library is open on Monday from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM, and closed from Friday through Sunday in observance of the holiday weekend. Conveniently located at 2620 Commercial Center Boulevard in Katy, your Cinco Ranch Branch Library is the perfect place to spend a few hours learning and exploring.

The newest addition to the Fort Bend County Libraries family, Fulshear Branch Library, is open on Monday from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM, Thursday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, and closed from Friday through Sunday in observance of the holiday weekend. Fulshear Branch Library is located at 6350 GM Library Rd, Fulshear, Texas 77441.

AARP Tax Assistance @ 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

• Bring the following items to your appointment: photo ID; Social Security card(s) for self, spouse, and all dependents; last year's tax return; W-2, 1099s, and any other compensation received in 2023; unemployment compensation statements; and any other documents necessary to complete your return.
• Income tax forms are no longer available at the libraries, but you may use the libraries' computers and printers to download and print the forms from the IRS website, www.irs.gov, during regular library hours. A library card is needed to use the printers, and the cost to print is 10¢ per black-and-white page.

Learn about the science of astronomy and the mechanics of telescopes. After an indoor presentation, the program will move outside (weather permitting), where participants will use telescopes to gaze at the night sky.

About Fort Bend County Libraries

Established in 1947 by the Share-a-Book Club, the Fort Bend County Libraries have shown consistent growth and innovation. From the opening of the first library in 1948 to the latest construction of the Fulshear Branch earlier this year, the Fort Bend County Libraries system is comprised of twelve branches across Fort Bend County, successfully adding and renovating numerous branches including the notable George Memorial Library. Further, in 2010, the Sienna Branch established the first-ever partnership with an educational institution, paving the way for a more integrated community service.
