Spring ISD Board of Trustees to Meet in Work Session Feb. 9 and Regular Session Feb. 14

The Spring Independent School District Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at Randall Reed Community Center at Planet Ford Stadium, 23802 Cypresswood Dr, Spring, TX 77373. To ensure public access, the meeting will also be streamed via Zoom.

The agenda includes a review of items that will be presented to the board for approval at the regular board meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14 at the Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center, 16717 Ella Blvd., also to be held in person and streamed via Zoom.

Presentations of note on Tuesday include a special Board Spotlight recognition to Spring ISD counselors for National Counselor Appreciation Week, 2022-2023 Middle of Year (MOY) Student Academic Update, the Annual Report of the District's Educational Performance and the Texas Academic Performance Report, and an update on the 2022 Teacher Effectiveness Retention/Recruitment Incentive.

The board is also slated to consider approving the Affiliation Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UT-Health Houston and Spring ISD; approval of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between with Texas A&M University and Spring ISD for Project EBEST; approval of the Clinical Placement Site Agreement with the University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions Eleanor Mann School of Nursing; approval of the TEA Remote Homebound Instruction Waiver - Education Homebound (GEH) and Compensatory Education Home Instruction (CEHI) program; approval of the second reading of Board Policy BJCD (LOCAL); review of the Investment Policy CDA (LOCAL); review of the annual report on purchasing cooperative fees for 2021-2022; the consideration of awarding a contract for professional development, speakers, consultants, trainers and related services and materials, and for construction bond audit services to the providers recommended by the administration; review of the 2022-23 Second Budget; approval of the Banking and Investment Resolutions to update authorized representative information for banking and investment functions; an update on the Intruder Detection Audit; a review of the report of cooperative purchases exceeding $50,000; and taxpayer refunds.
