This development is part of Harris County Precinct 3's initiative to introduce pickleball facilities across three parks: Russ Poppe Family Park in Cypress, Meyer Park in Spring, and I.T. May Park near Tomball. Construction for these projects commenced in September 2024, with Meyer Park's courts opening in early February 2025, alongside a new inclusive playground.

Additionally, Pickle Point, renowned for its high-quality courts and wellness-focused amenities, has filed permits to open a new state-of-the-art pickleball facility at 15623 Mueschke Road, near the Houston Premium Outlets in Cypress.Construction is set to begin on February 14, 2025, with an expected completion date of May 30, 2025. This $250,000 facility will be the latest addition to Pickle Point’s expanding network, which currently includes a location in Katy and a planned opening in Sugar Land.
