Rosenberg's Home for the Holidays Gift Market Returns October 23-25 With 130+ Vendors, Santa and Plenty of Holiday Finds
Christmas may still be a couple of months away, but for shoppers who enjoy finding gifts that are a little different from what's on the shelves at the big-box stores, there's a good reason to head to Rosenberg this weekend.
The Home for the Holidays Gift Market® returns to the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds October 23-25, 2026, bringing more than 130 vendors together for three days of holiday shopping, handmade gifts, boutique clothing, seasonal decorations and specialty merchandise. With Santa scheduled to visit all weekend, a photo booth and food trucks on-site, it's also an easy excuse to round up a few friends or make an afternoon of it with the family.
For residents of Rosenberg, Richmond, Sugar Land, Katy, Fulshear and surrounding Fort Bend County neighborhoods, the market is a chance to get a head start on holiday shopping while supporting the small businesses and artisans behind many of the items for sale.
More Than 130 Vendors, From Handmade Gifts to Holiday Décor
Part of the fun of a holiday market is not knowing exactly what might turn up around the next corner. One booth might be filled with handcrafted Christmas ornaments, while another features boutique clothing, jewelry, home accessories or specialty foods worth bringing home for the holidays.
That's the kind of shopping experience organizers have planned for this year's Rosenberg Fall Market.
More than 130 local vendors, crafters and independent retailers are expected to participate, offering everything from fall decorations and artwork to handmade gifts, boutique fashions and one-of-a-kind finds.
The market will occupy Buildings B, C and D, along with the Clubroom, at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds. Additional vendors will be set up in outdoor tents and mobile boutiques.
Shoppers can also stop for lunch at the on-site food trucks, take pictures at the photo booth or bring the kids to see Santa, who is scheduled to be at the market throughout the weekend.
And for anyone who doesn't make it through all the booths in one visit, there's good news: admission includes weekend re-entry with a wristband and email confirmation.
Meet the Women Behind Home for the Holidays Gift Market
While shoppers come for the merchandise, the idea behind Home for the Holidays Gift Market has always been about the people selling it.
The organization dates back to 2008 and was built around a straightforward goal: give small businesses, independent merchants and local artisans a place to showcase their work and connect with customers.
Today, Stacie Bowles, the organization's president and event coordinator, leads the markets under the nickname "Mrs. Hollydays." She works alongside Katelyn Pennington, who handles social media marketing, promotions and event coordination.
Together, they organize Home for the Holidays Gift Market and Hollydays events, creating temporary retail marketplaces where small-business owners can introduce their products to shoppers from across the Houston area.
For some vendors, markets like these offer a chance to reach customers who might never come across their online shops or social media pages. For others, they're an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces who return season after season.
And for shoppers, there's something nice about being able to ask the person behind the booth where a product came from, how it was made or what inspired it.
That personal connection is central to the organization's mission and its trademarked motto, "The Way Shopping Should Feel"™.
Nearly Two Decades of Shopping With a Charitable Purpose
Home for the Holidays Gift Market's impact has also extended beyond its vendor booths.
Since its founding in 2008, the organization reports donating more than $625,000 to charities and nonprofit organizations throughout the Greater Houston area.
Those contributions have supported a range of community needs, including food assistance, programs serving women and children, rehabilitation services and outreach to families facing difficult circumstances.
Among the organizations highlighted in its charitable work are Victory Family Outreach, which provides recovery programs for families seeking a fresh start; What Matters Ministries, which assists vulnerable children and widows with needs such as housing, food and education; and Triumph Christian Ministries, which serves Montgomery County through community outreach programs.
The market organization also welcomes inquiries from local nonprofits interested in charitable partnerships.
It's a side of the business that shoppers may not immediately see when browsing the booths, but one that has been part of the organization's work for years.

A Chance to Shop Small Before the Holiday Rush
October might seem early to start Christmas shopping, but for many small-business owners, the weeks leading up to the holidays are among their busiest and most important.
Events like Home for the Holidays Gift Market give local entrepreneurs a place to meet customers in person, introduce new merchandise and make sales that can help carry their businesses through the season.
For shoppers, the appeal is just as simple. Instead of ordering another gift online or making the usual rounds at the mall, they can spend a few hours browsing items from people who have put their own time, creativity and work into building a business.
Maybe that means finding a handmade Christmas gift for a friend, picking up something for the Thanksgiving table or discovering a local boutique worth following long after the market ends.
Or maybe it's simply a chance to enjoy a fall weekend with friends, take the kids to see Santa and come home with something unexpected.
Either way, the Rosenberg market gives Fort Bend County residents a chance to check a few names off their holiday shopping lists while getting to know some of the small businesses operating right here in the Houston area.
