Reining Strength Celebrates a Decade of Impact with Spectacular 10th Anniversary Derby Day
Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship marked a triumphant 10th Anniversary Derby Day Party on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the JW Marriott Houston by The Galleria. This memorable occasion was commemorated by over 500 supporters, underlining the impactful confluence of community commitment and effective philanthropic endeavors.
Since the inception of Reining Strength in 2014, the organization has been a beacon of hope for the Fort Bend County and the greater West Houston area, delivering transformative equine-assisted services for children and adults with physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs. The celebratory 10th Anniversary Derby Day Party reflected the fervent support of the community and a platform for expressing gratitude for a decade of continued service.

(Source: Reining Strength)Equine-assisted therapy, at the heart of Reining Strength's operations, employs the unique neuromuscular stimulation of the rhythmic movement of horses. Alongside learning riding skills, participants foster close bonds with the horses, participating in their care and grooming. The organization also extends an equine-assisted learning (EAL) program, an experiential learning approach that encourages the development of life skills, including behavior and emotional regulation, leadership skills and team building.
The Derby Day Party offered guests a wide range of festive activities. Attendees enjoyed a delightful walk down the Reining Strength's Memory Lane, fiercely competitive men's boots and bow ties and ladies hat contests, traditional derby-inspired games, and live streaming of the Kentucky Derby Race.
