Reign Fitness Plans $1.25 Million Gym Renovation in Northwest Houston, Near Jones Road and FM 1960
A new fitness facility is in the works for northwest Houston, where Reign Fitness is planning a $1.25 million renovation at 10931 Ocean City Boulevard, Houston, TX 77070. The project, also listed as Reign Reserve Gym, would bring another workout option to the area near FM 1960, with construction expected to wrap up in spring 2027.
According to the project filing, renovations to the existing 16,692-square-foot space are scheduled to begin November 16, 2026, and finish March 29, 2027. The estimated $1,251,900 project includes new offices, restrooms, interior walls, updated finishes, and improvements to the building's mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. An official opening date has not been announced.
What Is Reign Fitness?
Houston gymgoers may already recognize the Reign name from Reign Athletics, a fitness facility located at 3116 Jensen Drive near Downtown Houston. The gym caters primarily to strength-training enthusiasts, with more than 100 pieces of strength and cardio equipment from brands such as Atlantis, Prime, Cybex and Watson. Its current location offers 24-hour access, personal training, showers, lockers and complimentary towels.
Reign Athletics also offers several membership options, including monthly and longer-term plans, as well as day passes for those interested in trying the gym before committing to a membership. Whether the planned northwest Houston facility will follow the same format, offer similar amenities or operate under the same management has not yet been confirmed.
When Will Reign Fitness Open in Northwest Houston?
If renovations stay on schedule, work on the Ocean City Boulevard location should be completed by late March 2027. For residents around FM 1960, Champions and nearby Cypress neighborhoods, the project could mean another place to fit a workout into their daily routine without making the drive toward Downtown Houston.
Additional details about the gym's opening, membership rates and available equipment have not been released.
