Registration Open for Spring Art Classes at The Pearl Fincher Museum
The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts has a wonderful array of classes and workshops for ages preschool through adult.
Youth classes in the second spring session include Intro to Watercolor, Pets to Portraits, Fashion Design and Illustration, and Art Explorations II, as well as classes specifically for homeschool students. Classes are designed for various ages from 6 to 16 years old, and all materials are included.
Little ones will love the Pearl’s new preschool class, “Little Art Historians” on Wednesday mornings for ages 3 to 5. Children will learn about a new artist each week and create fun projects inspired by that artist. Monthly registration is required for this course.
Children ages 5 and under can also attend the free Art Start program each Tuesday morning at the Pearl. Art Start includes story time and a related art activity. The program is free thanks to a generous gift from AT&T. Space is limited so please register online.
Adults can get in on the fun as well, with weekly art classes or half-day workshops. Current spring subjects for adults include watercolor, ceramics, and dried floral crafts.
Proposals for new classes are always welcome as the Pearl continues to expand its selection of classes and workshops. Art instructors are invited to submit their ideas to Grace Mussell, Director of Education, at gracepfmfa@gmail.com.
