Registration Now Open for Bear Creek Little League
It's time to dust off those baseball mitts and lace up those cleats because registration is now open for Bear Creek Little League. Youth sports play a crucial role in our community, providing children with opportunities to learn teamwork, develop skills, and cultivate a love for athletic activity. Participating in Bear Creek Little League isn't just about playing baseball - it's about joining a community that nurtures young talent, promotes a healthy lifestyle, and fosters lifelong friendships.
Established in 1990, Bear Creek Little League has been dedicated to supporting a healthy and engaging environment for children. Using the baseball field as a teaching ground to instill discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fairness, these values serve as pillars that guide the players into their adulthood. Over the years, many of its participants have advanced to play baseball at the collegiate level, with a few making it to the professional leagues.
Early birds catch the ball, so register before December 31, 2023, for the Early Bird registration rate of $200 ($155 for T-ball). After this date, the regular registration fee will be $225 ($180 for T-ball). Regardless of when you register, each participant will receive a team hat, team jersey, belt, and socks. Not only will your child feel like a true baseball star, but they will also be proudly representing their community every time they put on their uniform.
Once your child is registered and ready to play ball, the next step is assessments. These typically take place from early to mid-February. Don't worry - these aren't high-pressure tests but rather a way for coaches to understand each player's skill level and ensure teams are balanced. Following the assessments, practices will begin. This is where the magic happens, as players bond with their teammates, learn from their coaches, and start developing their baseball skills. The Bear Creek Little League plays on various baseball fields at Bear Creek Pioneers Park, located near N. Eldridge Parkway and Clay Road.
The highlight of Bear Creek Little League is, of course, the Spring Season. This exciting period of games will kick off in late March and wrap up around mid-May. Whether your child is hitting their first T-ball or is an experienced Little Leaguer, there is a place for them in this league.
