Registration for CAP's Kids Camps Closes This Friday

May 08 2023

Get kids out of the house this summer while learning about caring for our furry friends and giving back at Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) in West Houston.

At CAP Kids Camps, participants learn about CAP's furry guests, what they eat, how they live, and the challenges they face. By discovering what makes each animal special and why it matters how they are treated, kids are empowered to find out how they can help companion pets and wildlife. Participants are encouraged to critically think about their role in caring, protecting, and respecting all creatures, great and small.

CAP's camps offer humane education programs that incorporate science, technology, and art. Games, crafts, and hands-on animal interactions make each day fun and help children to develop a positive and respectful attitude towards all living beings. Camps are kept small so that each child gets quality time with the various animal guests. Participants typically interact with CAP's animal guests for about half of the 4-hour daily schedule.

This is a half-day camp and a great option for children yearning to learn about animals and wanting to help CAP's shelter pets. Registration closes on May 12, so act fast! To register, please complete the 2023 CAP Summer Camp Registration Form and either drop it off at the shelter or email the completed version to cap4kids@cap4pets.org.
