March 11 2026

Fans of film, animation, comics and cosplay will soon have a chance to step into a weekend of nostalgia, creativity and fandom when POP CULTURE CON arrives in Spring, Texas on March 14–15, 2026.

Hosted at the Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwood Village, the two-day convention will bring together actors, voice performers, comic artists, cosplayers and collectors from across the pop culture landscape. For residents across Spring, The Woodlands, Tomball, and north Houston, the event offers a chance to meet the creative voices behind some of the most recognizable characters and stories spanning multiple generations.

One of the biggest highlights of the weekend will be a 40th anniversary reunion of the cast from the 1986 sci-fi classic “Aliens.” The film’s legacy continues to resonate with fans decades later, and several of its actors will gather in Spring to meet audiences, participate in panels, and sign autographs.

A Rare Reunion for Fans of the 1986 Film “Aliens”

The reunion brings together several stars from the iconic James Cameron-directed film, including Michael Biehn, Mark Rolston, Jenette Goldstein, Ricco Ross, William Hope, Cynthia Scott, and Carl Toop.

Many of these performers are also known for other roles across television, film and animation. Ricco Ross, for example, portrayed the Ringmaster in Doctor Who, while William Hope is widely recognized as the voice of Thomas the Tank Engine and other characters in the long-running “Thomas & Friends” franchise, appearing across television series and video games for generations of fans.

Mark Rolston’s career has also spanned multiple well-known projects, including his role as Bogs Diamond in The Shawshank Redemption and as the voice of Commissioner Gordon in animated productions, along with appearances in series such as Supernatural and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

The reunion offers a rare opportunity for fans to hear behind-the-scenes stories from a film that helped shape modern science fiction cinema.

From Gremlins to Scooby-Doo: A Wide Range of Pop Culture Guests

Beyond the Aliens reunion, POP CULTURE CON will feature a diverse lineup of entertainment guests spanning animation, film, comics and gaming.

Actor Zach Galligan, best known for starring in the Gremlins film series, is scheduled to appear, along with Garret Sander, the creator of the widely popular Monster High franchise.

Voice acting talent will also play a major role in the event’s programming. Salli Saffioti, known for voicing characters like Clawdeen Wolf and Cleo de Nile from Monster High, will join Scott Innes, the longtime voice behind Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and Scrappy-Doo.
