The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is beginning 2025 with a full slate of art, education, and community-focused events. Highlights include the opening of its spring exhibitions on January 25 and the much-anticipated Pearls of Art Gala on February 8.

Located at 6815 Cypresswood Drive in Spring, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is the only fine arts museum in Harris County outside of central Houston. The museum’s mission is to provide access to original works of art while offering outstanding educational programs to the community. With an exciting lineup of exhibitions, events, and activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy—discover what’s in store this month and next!

2025 Spring Exhibitions: A Celebration of Art and Heritage

On January 25, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts will debut two remarkable exhibitions celebrating art, history, and culture.

The Main Gallery will feature "The Art of Ezra Tucker," a touring exhibition organized by David J. Wagner, L.L.C. Ezra Tucker, a celebrated wildlife artist, is known for his stunning portrayals of North American wildlife and for shedding light on the often-overlooked Black experience in the American West.

This exhibition showcases 40 works created between 1985 and 2023, including lifelike depictions of mammals, birds, and historical narratives. Tucker’s signature style blends dynamic compositions, vibrant earth tones, and a masterful use of light, creating a sense of presence and movement in his subjects.

In the Cole Gallery, visitors can explore "HEARD" by Houston native Tramaine Townsend. Townsend’s multimedia work celebrates the legacy of Black cowboys, offering a minimalist and thoughtfully designed approach that resonates with clarity. A versatile visual artist, Townsend’s career spans photography, filmmaking, and directing, making his work a compelling exploration of history and art.
