Paris Baguette Coming to Northwest Houston’s Spring Cypress Village Station

January 19 2026

A new addition is rising on the Northwest Houston food scene. Paris Baguette, the global bakery café brand known for its fusion of French and Korean flavors, is set to open its newest location at Spring Cypress Village Station near the intersection of Spring Cypress Road and Highway 249. The space—located in the same shopping center as Sprouts Farmers Market—is currently scheduled to undergo a full renovation starting March 23, 2026, with construction expected to wrap by September.

The 3,127-square-foot café will be located at 22506 State Highway 249 in Units 448 and 450. According to plans filed with the state, the build-out is estimated to cost $750,000 and will convert an existing commercial space into a full-service bakery and café, complete with dine-in seating and a wide range of menu items.

Paris Baguette may be new to the neighborhood, but the brand brings a well-established identity. It began in South Korea as a small bakery called Sangmidang in 1945 and grew into an international franchise starting in 1988. Today, the company has thousands of locations around the world and has been expanding steadily throughout the U.S. as part of its goal to bring a modern twist on the classic neighborhood bakery to more communities.

The menu at Paris Baguette covers a lot of ground. Guests can expect an array of pastries—from croissants and mochi donuts to blueberry cheese danishes and apple turnovers—as well as savory items like quiches, sandwiches, pizzettas, and breakfast rolls. There’s also a coffee program featuring Lavazza espresso drinks, cold brews, seasonal lattes, teas, and smoothies. For those on the go, the bakery offers prepackaged items like roll cakes, macarons, and muffins.

While the menu is a big part of the draw, the company also aims to serve as a casual gathering spot—what it calls a “neighborhood bakery café.” Whether or not that concept finds a home in Northwest Houston remains to be seen, but the location is poised to attract both shoppers and commuters in a fast-growing part of the city.

The opening aligns with Paris Baguette’s broader plans to expand across North America, with the brand aiming for 1,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada by 2030. In recent years, locations have popped up in major metro areas including New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas. Houston, it seems, is next in line.

As construction gets underway, more details about the store’s opening date and hiring plans are expected to follow. Locals curious about what Paris Baguette has to offer can keep an eye out later this year as the space takes shape. Whether it’s the signature strawberry almond croissant, a grab-and-go baguette, or just a stop for iced coffee, the new spot could soon become a regular part of the morning (or afternoon) routine in this part of Harris County.
