Ollie's Bargain Outlet Opens in Bear Creek with Discounted Brand Name Products and Great Deals
Following the closure of the 99 Cent Only Store on Highway 6 in the Bear Creek area, Ollie's Bargain Outlet has now opened its doors to the local community. The former tenant was part of the larger 99 Cents Only chain, which recently underwent a major liquidation, shutting down all 379 of its locations across California and Texas, including 16 in Houston.
Replacing the former 99 Cent Only Store, Ollie's is bringing a fresh shopping experience to the area. "We are incredibly excited to open ten more stores in the great state of Texas where the folks have been so good to us," said John Swygert, Chief Executive Officer of Ollie's Bargain Outlet. Houston area shoppers now have access to nine Ollie's locations, providing a treasure hunt-like experience filled with brand name bargains at discounted prices.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet, widely recognized as America's largest retailer of closeout merchandise and excess inventory, started in 1982 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania by founders Mark Butler, Mort Bernstein, Oliver "Ollie" Rosenberg and Harry Coverman. It now boasts 542 stores across 31 states.

Offering a unique shopping experience, Ollie's provides its customers with extreme value on brand name products across a wide range of categories including food, electronics, books, housewares, healthcare products, pet supplies, and more. Merchandise is priced at up to 70 percent off retail, with opportunities for additional savings through the Ollie's Army incentive program.
The products are all sourced from premier manufacturers across the country and internationally, with goods often originating from overstocks, old packaged items, and manufacturer refurbished goods.
