Nottingham Country MUD Park Announces Playground Enhancement Plans
Nottingham Country MUD is excited to share its plans for a new playground at the park bordering Highland Knolls and Fry Road. The proposed design includes a pavilion between Cobble Springs and the new playground structure. The playground will feature inclusive play equipment suitable for children of all abilities, with both 5-12 year-old and 2-5 year-old play structures.
The design will incorporate various play elements, including swing sets with freedom, double-person, belt, and bucket swings, as well as stand-alone motion elements. The playground will have a shade canopy in blues and greens, designed in a triangle sail style, and will use either rubber pour-in-place surfacing or a combination of pathways with pour-in-place and fiber mulch for mobility and safety.
Additional features will include a drinking fountain, benches, trash receptacles, picnic tables, and a tubular steel safety fence with child-proof locks. The pavilion will have a security light and electrical outlets, but no additional site lighting is planned. A playground rules sign will be added to match existing park signage.
