News Flash
We made a mistake.
Live vegetation of any kind that is hanging, protruding, or extending on a homeowner’s fence is not a violation, provided it does not extend into a street (including alleyways).
It’s a Fact
We’re all human—and sometimes mistakes happen. We admit this mistake, and we are taking corrective action to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
How We’re Fixing This
SBB is reviewing all DRs sent in August and September to identify mistakes.
If you received a DR on this issue:
- The DR will be closed.
- You will receive an email or letter (depending on your portal communication preference).
- Notices should be completed within a week. (Please allow extra time for USPS mail.)
What You Can Do
If you believe you received a DR in error, you may:
- Wait for the SBB Management correction communication, and/or
- Contact SBB directly:
- Phone: 281-537-0957 (leave a detailed message; calls returned within 1 business day)
- Homeowner Portal (preferred): portal.chaparralmanagement.com/community/new-request
- Email: p.wudi@sbbmanagement.com
- Note: Using the homeowner portal is preferred because it provides a clear record of all communications.
A Final Note
We know receiving an incorrect DR is frustrating and can create unnecessary stress. When mistakes happen, we will: Admit it. Own it. Fix it. Learn from it.
Thank you for your patience as we resolve this issue.
Sincerely,
John Wood
President, NCCIA HOA Board
