Nottingham Country Community Notice: Constables Respond to Over 600 Calls in April 2026

Dated May 12, 2026, the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s monthly report outlines law enforcement activity in Nottingham Country during April 2026, noting an increase in calls for service and continued proactive patrols.
Law Enforcement Overview
Harris County Precinct 5 Constable deputies responded to 676 total calls for service in Nottingham Country during April 2026, which is an increase of approximately 18% over March with most of the calls being Contract Checks.
Deputies maintained steady patrol coverage, strong community engagement, and reported no major crime spikes during the month.
Contract checks—routine proactive patrols—once again made up the largest portion of activity, with 539 patrols completed, helping deter crime and maintain safety.
Notable April Activity
- 676 Calls for service in Nottingham Country
- 1010 Total calls handled by 4 Nottingham deputies (including response to surrounding areas)
- 244 Arrests by Precinct 5, including 57 DWIs
- Note: This is for the entire Precinct 5 (larger area than Nottingham)
- 45 Traffic stops conducted by Nottingham deputies
- 0 Burglary of a Motor Vehicle report
- 2 Stolen Vehicle
- Note: 1 was a family issue and the other was a popular truck stolen
- 11 Traffic crashes investigated
- 9 Suspicious person or vehicle calls
- Other sensitive calls included: DOA, Family Disturbances, Assaults, Runaways, Fraud, Mental Health, and Alarm calls.

According to Texas Transportation Code §551.352 and related local regulations, riders must obey stop signs, traffic signals, yield to pedestrians, and travel with the flow of traffic. They are treated similarly to bicycles, with specific restrictions on speed and location.
