Nottingham Country Community Notice: Constables Respond to Over 400 Calls in March 2026

Dated April 16, 2026, the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s monthly report outlines law enforcement activity in Nottingham Country during March 2026, noting a decrease in calls for service, continued proactive patrols, and no major crime spikes reported.
Alert Notice: There have been at least 2 stolen trucks this week in the surrounding areas. It appears to possibly be an organized theft ring. The Constables recommends securing your vehicles and park trucks in a garage if possible.
Law Enforcement Overview
Harris County Precinct 5 Constable deputies responded to 571 total calls for service in Nottingham Country during March 2026, which is a decrease of approximately 28% over February with most of the calls being Contract Checks.
Deputies maintained steady patrol coverage, strong community engagement, and reported no major crime spikes during the month.
Contract checks—routine proactive patrols—once again made up the largest portion of activity, with 487 patrols completed, helping deter crime and maintain safety.

- Note: This is for the entire Precinct 5 (larger area than Nottingham)

- 1 Burglary of a Motor Vehicle report
- Note: Wallet was later found in the home.

- 1 package theft
- 1 package that was delivered later (no crime committed)
- 1 Stolen Vehicle
- Note: Was recovered within an hour
- 15 Traffic crashes investigated
- 10 Suspicious person or vehicle calls
Other sensitive calls included: DOA, Family Disturbances, Assaults, Runaways, Fraud, Mental Health, and Alarm calls.

Under Texas Transportation Code §545.066, drivers on a highway must stop for a school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop sign, regardless of direction, unless divided by a physical median or barrier. At intersections, all traffic must stop, even at 4-way stops, until the bus resumes motion, signals passing, or turns off signals.
