Nothing Bundt Cakes to Open New Location in Katy

November 19 2024

Nothing Bundt Cakes, a popular bakery chain known for their signature bundt cakes with generous frosting stripes, is set to open a new location in East Katy. The new store will be situated at 19143 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77094, near Houston Methodist West Hospital and Texas Children’s Hospital - West Campus. This new store will provide Katy residents with another convenient option to enjoy the brand’s signature cakes and treats.

Construction on the new location is slated to begin in early January 2025, with the completion of the interior expected by mid-March 2025. According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), the site will undergo a first-generation interior finish-out, meaning it has not previously been occupied by another tenant. The new store will offer the same product range and services that the brand is known for, with a focus on its signature Bundt cakes.

This new location will be the second for Nothing Bundt Cakes in Katy, following the store at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch at 2717 Commercial Center Blvd, Katy, TX 77494. The bakery chain currently operates approximately 20 locations in the Greater Houston area and has plans for further expansion, including a new store in Cy-Fair on Highway 6 near FM 529.

Nothing Bundt Cakes offers a variety of Bundt cakes available in 10 core flavors, such as Chocolate Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Raspberry, and Red Velvet. In addition to these regular options, the bakery often features seasonal and limited-time flavors to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Customers can choose from a variety of cake sizes, including Bundtlets, single-serving cakes, and larger cakes for group celebrations. Each cake is topped with the brand’s signature cream cheese frosting, which has become a hallmark of their offerings.

Founded in 1997 by longtime friends Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz, Nothing Bundt Cakes began as a home-based venture in Las Vegas, where they experimented with Bundt cake recipes. Their cakes quickly gained popularity, leading them to open their first bakery focused on high-quality, moist cakes topped with signature cream cheese frosting. What started as a small business grew into a national success, with over 600 locations across the U.S. today. Despite their growth, the company remains dedicated to the same values that drove its founders: to create joyful experiences through delicious cakes, thoughtful service, and a commitment to making every celebration special.

With this new store, local residents will have even more opportunities to enjoy the brand's signature Bundt cakes, whether for a special occasion or an everyday treat. To learn more about Nothing Bundt Cakes and explore their menu, visit nothingbundtcakes.com.
