Nick the Greek Expanding to New Caney With New Valley Ranch Town Center Location Planned for 2026

May 07 2026

Residents in New Caney and the rapidly developing Valley Ranch area are expected to see another nationally expanding restaurant concept arrive along the Grand Parkway corridor next year as Nick the Greek prepares to open a new location at Valley Ranch Town Center.

According to public permitting records, Nick the Greek is planning a commercial renovation and first-generation build-out at 11805 N. Grand Parkway E., Suite 200, in New Caney. The project is listed under VR Town Center IV and carries an estimated construction cost of $315,000. Work is scheduled to begin May 25, 2026, with an anticipated completion date of September 14, 2026.

The approximately 1,794-square-foot restaurant will add another fast-casual dining option to one of Montgomery County’s fastest-growing retail and residential corridors, continuing the steady wave of new businesses arriving near the Grand Parkway and Interstate 69 interchange.

What Nick the Greek Means for New Caney’s Growing Dining Scene

As New Caney continues attracting new residential developments, retail investment, and commercial growth, additional restaurant options have become an increasingly important part of the area’s evolution.

The arrival of Nick the Greek reflects broader consumer demand for fast-casual concepts that offer quick service while also emphasizing fresh ingredients, customizable meals, and healthier alternatives to traditional fast food.

Founded in 2014 by three cousins — all named Nick Tsigaris — the company was inspired by a trip to Greece and launched with the goal of bringing approachable Greek street food to American customers. The founders, known as “Big Nick,” “Little Nick,” and “Baby Nick,” built the brand around traditional Greek flavors paired with a modern fast-casual dining model.

Since opening its first restaurant in Northern California, the chain has expanded to more than 60 locations across several states, including Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Kansas, Utah, and Missouri. Leadership has publicly stated ambitions for continued national expansion as the brand grows beyond its California roots.

A Brand Built Around Greek Hospitality and Community Values

Company leadership says the concept centers on “Filotimo,” a Greek philosophy emphasizing honor, generosity, responsibility, and selflessness in daily life.

According to the company, that principle influences everything from customer service to food preparation and restaurant operations.

“Everything we do comes with a great sense of pride,” the company states in its brand messaging. “Pride in our people, pride in our food, pride in the experience, pride in our operations.”

That emphasis on hospitality and consistency has helped fuel the chain’s rapid growth during a competitive period for the restaurant industry, particularly as consumers increasingly seek fast-casual concepts with customizable menu options and fresh ingredients.

What Could Be on the Menu in New Caney

Nick the Greek’s menu focuses on Greek-inspired pitas, bowls, salads, plates, and desserts designed around a streamlined selection of proteins and ingredients.

Menu offerings include beef and lamb gyro pitas, chicken souvlaki, pork belly gyro, falafel pitas, Mediterranean bowls, Greek salads, and traditional desserts such as baklava and loukoumades, also known as Greek donuts. The chain also recently added spanakopita — a traditional Greek savory pastry made with layers of flaky phyllo dough filled with spinach and feta cheese — to its menu offerings.

The restaurant also offers customizable plates, rice bowls, fries topped with gyro meat or falafel, and catering packages designed for group events and gatherings.

The company’s menu strategy relies on a core set of ingredients and proteins that can be used across multiple dishes, helping maintain operational consistency while still offering customers a broad range of options.

Continued Momentum Along the Grand Parkway Corridor

The planned restaurant adds to the growing mix of retail, dining, and entertainment destinations emerging around Valley Ranch Town Center and the surrounding New Caney area.

For longtime residents, the continued commercial expansion reflects how dramatically the area has evolved in recent years as new neighborhoods, infrastructure projects, and business investments reshape eastern Montgomery County.

For newer residents, additional dining and retail options can reduce the need to travel outside the area for expanded food choices while also helping establish New Caney as a more self-contained regional destination.

While construction timelines can shift as projects move through permitting and development phases, the filing signals continued confidence in the area’s long-term growth trajectory and consumer demand.

What Happens Next

Construction records currently show renovation work beginning in late May 2026 with completion projected for September 2026. Once completed, the restaurant will occupy a first-generation build-out space within the Valley Ranch Town Center development.

An official opening date has not yet been announced.

Residents can expect additional details, including hiring information and grand opening announcements, closer to completion of the project.
