Neighbors Asked to Please Clean Up After Pets in Kings Crossing
Residents of King Crossing are being reminded to be courteous and responsible when walking their dogs: please pick up pet waste and dispose of it properly. Neighbors say loose dog waste along sidewalks and greenways has become an ongoing concern for safety, cleanliness and the overall enjoyment of shared outdoor spaces. The community association is urging pet owners to carry bags and use available trash receptacles to keep pathways clean for everyone.
While most dog owners are conscientious, even a few missed clean-ups create an outsized impact on the neighborhood. Pet waste left on sidewalks and lawns can be an eyesore, lead to unpleasant smells, and create slipping or health concerns for children and other pets. Neighbors recommend keeping a small stash of disposable bags on each walk, tying the bag securely, and placing it in a trash can or pet waste station rather than leaving it on the ground.
The association plans to place reminder signs — like this “Please Clean Up After Your Pet” notice — in several popular walking spots. Residents who would like additional pet waste stations or garbage cans on common paths are encouraged to contact the Kings Crossing community office with suggestions. A polite, shared effort will help keep local sidewalks, parks and entryways welcome for everyone in the neighborhood.
