Mercer Botanic Gardens to Host Beat the Heat Plant Sale

On July 21 and 22, the Friends of Mercer Botanic Gardens will host their Beat the Heat Plant sale, slated to take place in-person and online.

Originally planned as an online-only sale, shoppers will now also have the opportunity to purchase plants in-person at Mercer Botanic Gardens. The online sale will take place on both July 21 and 22 with exclusive access to members on July 21 beginning at 4:00 PM, followed by public access on July 22 beginning at 8:00 AM. The in-person sale will only be available on July 22 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Plant types that will be available for purchase include a wide and exotic variety of annuals, natives, cacti, succulents, perennials, house and patio plants, and shade plants. Proceeds from this plant sale will benefit Mercer Botanic Gardens.

Friends of Mercer Botanic Gardens (TMS) is the nonprofit 501(c)3 organization of the Mercer Botanic Gardens working to enable Mercer Gardens to fulfill its mission “To improve quality of life and inspire greater appreciation of the essential value and beauty of the plant world”. Through fundraising, specialty plant sales, horticultural propagation and outreach that fosters and develops relationships, partnerships and connections, TMS is a vibrant and essential partner of the Mercer Botanic Gardens.

Together, Friends of Mercer Botanic Gardens and the Mercer Botanic Gardens, create a social space that draws people of all ages to the Gardens for fun, learning, social interaction, quiet and peaceful spaces, beauty and personal enrichment.
