Meet the Raptors Up Close at Cinco Ranch Branch Library’s 'Wild Bird Adventures' Program
Nature lovers and curious young minds in The Points are in for a real treat this fall. On Tuesday, November 25, at 2:00 p.m., the Fort Bend County Libraries’ Cinco Ranch Branch Library will host “Wild Bird Adventures: Birds, Books, & Beyond”—a captivating program where guests will have the chance to see live raptors up close.
The event will take place in the library’s Meeting Room at2620 Commercial Center Blvd, Katy, TX 77494, and is especially recommended for students in grades K–5. The program aims to inspire children to explore the wonders of wildlife while learning about some of the most awe-inspiring creatures in the sky.
Presented by Mary Anne Morris, co-founder of Wild Bird Adventures, the session will feature live birds of prey—including hawks, kites, and eagles—that serve as education ambassadors. Morris will discuss how these majestic raptors play a vital role as top predators in the animal kingdom, as well as their migratory patterns, natural habitats, and distinct calls.
For those who want to keep the learning going, Morris will also share a list of age-appropriate books that children can read to further explore the world of birds in the wild.

This special program is free and open to the public, thanks to the support of the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library. The Friends group helps fund programs like this one through book sales and annual memberships, enriching community life with cultural and educational events throughout the year.
