Medina Valley HS Graduate Builds Five-Star Business: How Ethan Hassinger Turned Panther Pride into Texas Window Washing, LLC Success
For many Medina Valley High School graduates, the lessons learned on campus extend far beyond graduation day. For Ethan Hassinger, Class of 2018, those lessons became the foundation of a growing San Antonio small business that is now earning widespread recognition across the region.
Hassinger, a former Medina Valley HS football and soccer player known by teammates as “Kicker,” is now the owner of Texas Window Washing, LLC, a residential and commercial window cleaning company serving San Antonio and surrounding areas. Since launching his business in 2023, he has earned more than 100 five-star reviews on Google—an achievement that speaks to more than clean glass. It reflects consistency, trust and a customer-first approach that many say is increasingly rare.
From Panther Athlete to San Antonio Business Owner
After graduating from Medina Valley High School, Hassinger entered the workforce, where he says he quickly learned the importance of professionalism and strong customer service. Working for a window cleaning company in San Antonio gave him firsthand insight into the trade—but also planted a bigger idea.
In 2023, he decided to take the leap and start his own company.
Today, Texas Window Washing, LLC provides hand-washed residential and commercial window cleaning services throughout San Antonio and nearby communities. Unlike automated or rushed services, Hassinger focuses on detailed, personalized work.
“I treat every home like it’s my own. I don’t rush jobs just to fit more in, and if something’s not right, I make it right.”
That mindset has resonated with customers across the region, helping him build a reputation rooted in reliability and pride in workmanship.
Building a Five-Star Reputation in San Antonio
In a competitive home services market, five-star Google reviews can make or break a small business. Hassinger has surpassed 100 five-star ratings, a milestone that reflects consistent quality and responsiveness.
But behind those reviews is long, physical work—often in Texas heat—and the less-visible side of entrepreneurship. In addition to performing window cleaning services, Hassinger manages marketing, scheduling, client consultations and day-to-day operations himself.
Owning a business, he says, requires a different level of discipline.

“I truly don’t feel like I have a job, I have a purpose that I get compensated for. Owning a business is very hard compared to cleaning a window. But it’s worth every drop of sweat!”
That work ethic, he credits, traces back to his years as a student-athlete at Medina Valley High School.
The Role of Medina Valley ISD in Shaping Future Leaders
Hassinger says the discipline and focus he developed while playing football and soccer at MVHS helped prepare him for entrepreneurship. Team sports demanded accountability, time management and perseverance—skills that now guide his approach to business ownership.
For the Medina Valley ISD community, alumni stories like Hassinger’s are reminders that local schools shape more than academic outcomes. They help build future small business owners, employers and community contributors.
His journey may not have followed a detailed blueprint.
Ethan says he did not have a clear plan to become a business owner after graduation—but he embraced opportunity when it appeared. That willingness to step forward reflects a growing trend among young entrepreneurs in Texas who are launching service-based businesses and investing back into their local economies.
Why Local Small Businesses Matter in San Antonio
As San Antonio continues to grow, locally owned businesses like Texas Window Washing, LLC play an important role in the regional economy. Small businesses often provide personalized service, reinvest locally and build relationships that extend beyond a single transaction.
For residents in Medina Valley, San Antonio and surrounding communities, supporting alumni-owned businesses creates a full-circle connection—where former students now serve the neighborhoods that helped shape them.
For Hassinger, the work is about more than windows.
It’s about doing the job right, standing behind the result and representing his hometown well.
As Medina Valley High School continues celebrating alumni achievements, stories like this one reflect a broader truth: sometimes success begins on a high school field and grows into something much bigger.
