May the 4th Be With You: Celebrate Free Comic Book Day at LSC-CyFair
Bring the whole family to Lone Star College-CyFair Library’s celebration of the national Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) with activities for Saturday, May 4.
This year’s event features contests, DYI crafts and comic strips, gaming, a Pokemon scavenger hunt, workshops and more including the distribution of free comic books while supplies last.
Cosplay is encouraged for making memories at the selfies photo booth available all day and to participate in a contest with prizes for children, teen and adult winners.
Everyone can make their own superhero buttons and comic strips as well as enjoy tabletop and console gaming.
There will be a special Superhero Storytime at 10:30 a.m. in the Kids Corner for children, while teens and adults can paint D&D-style minis, join in comic trivia and participate in origami and cosplay workshops.
In addition, come see the comic book/style artwork of the FCBD Art Contest winners and 1st-runner ups displayed in the library and posted on social media.
All of LSC-CyFair’s FCBD activities will be held from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the library.
