Summer is just around the corner, and the Mason Creek Utility District (MCUD) is diving into the season with exciting events for the entire Nottingham Country community. The MCUD Open House and a lineup of Family Movie Nights at the Mason Creek Community Center pool are perfect ways for local families to relax, connect, and make the most of their summer evenings.
From food and refreshments to movies under the stars, these community gatherings offer something for everyone—with the added bonus of a splash-worthy setting.
MCUD Open House: Saturday, May 3, 2025
To kick things off, the MCUD Open House will take place on Saturday, May 3, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mason Creek Community Center pool. This rain-or-shine event invites residents to enjoy the pool, meet neighbors, and get ready for the summer season.
- Free food and refreshments will be served from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Pool access available throughout the event
- Covered seating, lounge chairs, and tables provided
- On-site pool registration available
- Free towel with registration (while supplies last)
The event will also offer a chance to explore the Community Center's banquet and meeting rooms, including amenities like a sound system and covered patio—ideal for private events, club meetings, or gatherings.

Family Movie Nights: Splash, Float & Watch
Starting in June, MCUD will host Family Movie Nights at the pool for registered members. These fun-filled evenings feature a 15-foot inflatable screen, outdoor speakers, and lifeguards on duty to ensure a safe, family-friendly environment.

Movies begin at 8:00 PM, immediately after the pool closes. Rest assured, only G and PG-rated movies will be shown. Bring your own floats and enjoy the movie from the water.
Please note that Movie Nights are open to Pool Members only, and pool availability may change due to weather or scheduled activities.
How to Register for the Pool
Pool registration begins April 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at the MCUD Office. The registration form can be downloaded here: 2025 Pool Registration Form (PDF)
