Lone Star College–Montgomery to Host 2nd Annual Community Tree Lighting with Festive Family Fun

November 20 2025

The holiday season is officially on its way to Montgomery County, and Lone Star College–Montgomery is once again lighting up the season with heart and hometown spirit. The college will host its 2nd Annual Community Tree Lighting Celebration on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., offering a fun-filled evening designed to bring together families, students, and residents from across the Greater Conroe and The Woodlands area.

Spearheaded by LSC Trustee Rebecca Broussard, this free, family-friendly event promises to deliver a magical blend of tradition and holiday cheer. From twinkling lights to bounce houses, visitors of all ages can look forward to festive fun as the college campus transforms into a winter wonderland—even featuring “snow” in Texas.

Back by popular demand after a warm reception in 2024, this year’s event brings back many favorites and adds even more to the experience. Guests can enjoy photos with Santa, live DJ entertainment, and a holiday movie on the lawn, creating the perfect backdrop for treasured family memories. Food trucks, giveaways, and scholarship raffles will also be on site, along with bounce houses for the kids and a welcoming community vibe for all.

The Community Tree Lighting is more than just a festive gathering—it’s a chance for neighbors to come together, celebrate student success, and enjoy the season side by side. It's not just about lighting a tree, but about creating memories and connections that brighten the whole community.

The event also recognizes the spirit and dedication of students and their families, honoring the hard work that defines the Lone Star College–Montgomery community. It's this blend of local pride, academic celebration, and seasonal joy that has already made the Tree Lighting a cherished tradition in Montgomery County.

Whether you live in Conroe, Magnolia, The Woodlands, Tomball, or nearby North Houston neighborhoods, this holiday event is the perfect opportunity to kick off the season with laughter, lights, and a strong sense of community. Don’t forget your blanket or lawn chair for the movie—and maybe a camera for that Santa photo!
