Lamkin Elementary Student Named CFISD Student of the Week

Lamkin Elementary School fourth grade student Dale LeFebvre is described by his teachers as a model citizen in the classroom and has served as a self-manager on campus for three years. 

School: Lamkin Elementary School | Age: 10 | Grade: 4 

Accomplishments: LeFebvre is a student who models top behavior in class and jumps at the chance to help others. He has served as a self-manage on campus for three years and is credited for excelling as “Principal for the Day.” 

Favorite class: “Reading is my favorite class because it is fun and it’s like watching a movie in your head. Your brain gets something fun.” 

Favorite things to do after class: “I like to play football, baseball and Fortnite with my friends.” 

­Favorite song: “Back in Black by AC/DC.” 

Favorite Website/App: “Fortnite is my favorite website because I can play that with my friends even when we are not physically together.” 

Favorite TV show: “My favorite show is The Simpsons because it’s really funny and it’s something I like to do with my mom.” 

Favorite movie: “My favorite movie is Top Gun because I love jets. I’ve seen it at least 50 times.” 

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about playing baseball. I’ve started playing t-ball when I was younger and I’ve played for select teams for awhile.” 

What inspires you?: “My mom and dad inspire me. My mom believes in me and is so supportive. As long as I know she believes in me, I know I can believe in myself. My dad inspires me too. He’s in the Army and started his own business. He also played basketball and football. I’m also inspired by Tom Cruise because he’s an adrenaline guy.” 

What three things can’t you live without?: “I can’t live without baseball and football, my mom and my Nintendo Switch.” 

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “I looked forward to being a self-manager again this year. We get to do fun stuff and help make school a better place.”
