Lamar Consolidated ISD Closes on 100 Acres for New Schools in Cross Creek West
Lamar Consolidated Independent School District (LCISD) recently acquired 100 acres in Cross Creek West, marking a significant step towards the expansion of educational facilities in the region, reveals a recent release by Cross Creek West.
The purchased land will become the site of a new high school, junior high school, middle school, and potentially a future elementary school, as part of the 2022 bond referendum. The educational complex will be situated in the northern part of Cross Creek West, with the high school, junior high school, and middle school slated to start operations in August 2027. The timeline for the potential future elementary school remains unannounced.
Rob Bamford, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Cross Creek Ranch, emphasized the correlation between Fulshear's growth and the demand for new schools. He stated, “The need for new schools goes hand-in-hand with Fulshear’s growth. The school district has an aggressive plan for bringing new schools online, and we are thrilled to be able to support that plan by making land available within our community.”
Additionally, Cross Creek West is set to witness the commencement of construction for Elementary No. 36 in March. This school, part of the $1.52 billion 2022 bond program, is expected to open its doors by fall 2025 and accommodate 850 students, as noted in a release from Lamar Consolidated ISD in December 2023.
