April 21 2025

In a celebration of excellence in education and unwavering dedication to student success, Lamar Consolidated Independent School District (Lamar CISD) has officially announced the recipients of its 2024–2025 District Teachers and Support Staff Members of the Year. These prestigious awards recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, passion, and impact on their campuses throughout the school year.

The honorees were revealed during the district’s annual awards banquet, where community leaders, district officials, and sponsors gathered to commend the outstanding educators and support staff who continue to shape the future of the Lamar CISD community. Each campus within the district submitted a nominee for consideration, followed by an extensive evaluation process that identified finalists across Lamar CISD's color tracks.

Among this year’s standout honorees is Brooke Howard, a 6th grade science teacher at Wertheimer Middle School, who was named 2024–2025 Secondary Teacher of the Year. Known for her innovative teaching methods and ability to connect deeply with students, Howard represents the spirit of Lamar CISD’s mission to empower every learner.
