Lakes of Bella Terra Undergoing Amenity Lake Rehabilitation
According to Fort Bend County MUD No. 133 (the "District"), the District has recently awarded a contract to repair and upgrade the side slopes of the detention/amenity lakes throughout Lakes of Bella Terra and Lakes of Bella Terra West.
The scope of the project includes excavation, recompaction, amendments to improve soil quality, regrading, and Bermuda sod installation of selected areas of the side slopes, and overseeding and fertilization of the entire side slopes of the five (5) amenity lakes in the interior of Lakes of Bella Terra and the three (3) lakes in Lakes of Bella Terra West.
Construction began in July and is slated to be completed in August.
The District presently contains approximately 925 acres of land and is located in northeastern Fort Bend County approximately 26 miles southwest of downtown Houston, Texas. Access to the District is provided via the Westpark Tollway and State Highway 99 (“Grand Parkway”). Generally, the District is bordered on the south by Bellaire Boulevard, on the north by F.M. 1093, on the west by F.M. 723 and on the east by the northern portion of Canal Road. The District is located wholly within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City.
