La La Land Kind Café Expanding in Austin: New Domain Location to Bring Community-Focused Coffee Experience to North Austin

Austin  /  Austin
March 16 2026

A new coffee shop coming to The Domain in Austin is aiming to offer more than just caffeine—it’s designed to create a space where connection, kindness, and community take center stage.

La La Land Kind Café, known for its bright aesthetic and people-first philosophy, is preparing to open a new location at 11410 Century Oaks Terrace #108 in North Austin, marking the second Austin area La La Land Kind Café. The project, located in one of Austin’s most popular shopping and lifestyle hubs, reflects continued growth for the brand across Texas and beyond.

For residents and visitors who frequent The Domain—often referred to as Austin’s “second downtown”—this addition signals another step in the area’s evolution as a destination not just for shopping, but for gathering, working, and building community.

A New Coffee Experience Coming to The Domain Austin

According to project details filed in Travis County, construction on the new La La Land Kind Café Austin (The Domain) location is expected to begin June 22, 2026, with completion anticipated by September 30, 2026.

The $240,000 renovation will transform an existing 1,259-square-foot tenant space into a fully updated café, including a new kitchen, restroom, and dining area, along with upgraded finishes, lighting, and interior design elements.

Why This Matters for Austin Residents

As The Domain continues to grow with new retail, dining, and mixed-use developments, additions like La La Land Kind Café contribute to the area’s identity as a lifestyle-centered destination.

For nearby residents, professionals, and students, the café offers another option for morning coffee runs and remote work spots, casual meetups and social gatherings, and weekend outings in North Austin.

More broadly, it reflects a shift in how coffee shops are being designed—not just as quick stops, but as environments meant to foster connection and a sense of belonging.

More Than Coffee: A Brand Built on Human Connection

Founded in Dallas in 2019 by entrepreneur Francois Reihani, La La Land Kind Café was created with a simple but intentional goal: to build spaces centered around kindness and human connection.

The brand describes its concept as creating a “dream-like” environment—where design, service, and atmosphere work together to make customers feel welcome and at ease. Its signature look combines clean, minimalist interiors with bright yellow accents meant to evoke warmth and positivity.

Beyond aesthetics, La La Land Kind Café has quietly built a reputation for its mentorship efforts, including hiring and supporting young adults transitioning out of the foster care system. While not heavily marketed in-store, this initiative reflects a broader commitment to community impact through opportunity and support.

That mission is further supported by the La La Land Foundation, established in 2017 to expand access to resources and career pathways for foster youth and individuals in need.

A Growing Presence Across Texas and Beyond

The upcoming Domain location will mark the second La La Land Kind Café in Austin, joining its South Congress café, and adds to a rapidly expanding footprint that includes multiple locations across Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and other major U.S. cities like Los Angeles, Nashville, and Scottsdale.

The brand has also attracted significant investment, including a $20 million infusion in 2023, signaling strong confidence in its concept and long-term growth.

What Customers Can Expect on the Menu

While the Austin Domain location is still under construction, customers familiar with La La Land can expect a menu centered on specialty coffee, matcha drinks, and elevated café offerings.

Popular items include:

  • The La La Latte and Banana Cloud Latte
  • Strawberry Cloud Latte and Matcha Squared Latte
  • Signature drinks like the Lavender Bloom and French Toast Latte
  • Specialty toast options such as Truffle Burrata Toast and Avocado Toast variations

The menu blends creative flavors with visually appealing presentation—another factor that has helped the brand gain traction on social media and among younger audiences.

What Happens Next

Construction is slated to begin in late June 2026, with a projected opening in early fall, just in time for cooler weather and peak patio season at The Domain.

As Austin continues to attract new residents and businesses, projects like this reflect a broader trend toward spaces that prioritize both experience and community connection.

For those who live, work, or spend time in North Austin, the arrival of La La Land Kind Café at The Domain is shaping up to be more than just another coffee shop opening—it’s another place designed to bring people together.
