Klein ISD Board of Trustees Election Results: What Inverness Estates Residents Need to Know

November 06 2025

Inverness Estates residents who cast their ballots in the November election helped shape the future of local education leadership in Klein Independent School District (Klein ISD). The unofficial results from Harris County, reported on Election Night, reveal the outcomes for three open trustee positions on the seven-member board.

Unofficial Results for Klein ISD Trustee Election

  • Position 3: Dustin Creager won with 15,029 votes, securing 57.06% of the total vote, defeating challenger Jack Velasquez who received 11,311 votes (42.94%).

  • Position 6: Incumbent Cathy Arellano ran unopposed and will retain her seat.

  • Position 7: Incumbent Rob Ellis earned 17,933 votes (68.83%) in a decisive victory over Justin “Bumpy” Wooldridge, who received 8,120 votes (31.17%).

These numbers are unofficial until the canvassing and certification process is complete, as required by Texas state law. The canvassing ensures that every eligible ballot is accurately counted and every valid vote is included in the final totals. Once the results are certified, the winning candidates will be officially sworn in to begin their three-year terms during a future Klein ISD Board of Trustees meeting.

A Closer Look at Klein ISD Board of Trustees

For residents of Inverness Estates and surrounding Klein-area neighborhoods, the Board of Trustees plays a critical role in overseeing the direction and policies of the school district. Trustees are elected in at-large, non-partisan elections and are responsible for making decisions that affect more than 53,000 students and numerous campuses across the district.

Each trustee term spans three years, with elections held annually to fill two or three positions. These community leaders volunteer countless hours to ensure all students have access to meaningful and effective educational opportunities.

While much of the board’s work is done publicly during scheduled meetings, some matters—such as personnel, security, or legal issues—may be discussed in executive session as allowed by state law. However, all decisions and votes are made during open meetings, reinforcing transparency and community trust.

Continuing Community Representation

Klein ISD expressed appreciation for the service of all trustee candidates and for the participation of the voting public. In a statement, the district said, “Klein ISD extends its congratulations to Cathy Arellano, Dustin Creager, and Rob Ellis for their continued service to our community as trustees and thanks the Klein ISD community for participating in this important election.”

With these results, residents in neighborhoods like Inverness Estates can expect continuity and community-focused leadership in local education policy. The trustees, alongside teachers and administrators, remain committed to supporting Klein ISD students and ensuring the district remains a strong educational force in northwest Harris County.

As the district looks ahead to the official swearing-in ceremony, families and community members are encouraged to stay informed and involved, attending board meetings and remaining active participants in the success of Klein ISD.
