KidStrong Coming to Conroe: New Children's Training Center Planned Along North Frazier Street

June 08 2026

Families in Conroe may soon have a new option for youth development and fitness as plans move forward for a KidStrong training center on North Frazier Street.

According to project filings, a new KidStrong facility is planned at 2200 N. Frazier Street, Suite 137, Conroe, TX 77303, with construction expected to begin on July 1, 2026, and continue through July 1, 2027. The approximately 4,377-square-foot facility represents an estimated $400,000 investment and will include two children's training areas, a parent viewing area, restrooms, an office, an entry lobby, and support spaces.

For parents searching for youth fitness programs, child development activities, or confidence-building programs in Conroe and Montgomery County, the project signals another family-focused amenity coming to one of the region's fastest-growing communities.

More Than a Traditional Kids' Gym

While the facility is designed around physical activity, KidStrong positions itself as more than a traditional children's gym. The company describes its program as a science-based training system focused on helping children develop physically, mentally, and emotionally through structured, coach-led classes.

Designed for children from walking age through 11 years old, KidStrong's weekly 45-minute classes combine movement, games, problem-solving activities, and social interaction. The curriculum is built around what the organization calls its "Whole Child Philosophy," which emphasizes three key areas of development: strong character, strong body, and strong mind.

Through age-appropriate challenges, children participate in activities intended to build coordination, balance, strength, agility, teamwork, resilience, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

For many families, that approach aligns with a growing interest in extracurricular programs that combine physical activity with social-emotional development.

A Growing Presence Across North America

KidStrong's story began in 2015 in Lexington, Kentucky, when founders Matt and Megin Sharp sought ways to help their daughter, Ella, become stronger and more confident. Working alongside child development experts, they developed a curriculum focused on the skills children need both inside and outside the classroom.

What started as a local concept has expanded rapidly. Today, KidStrong reports operating more than 160 locations across the United States and Canada, serving more than 65,000 children each week. The company reached a significant milestone with the opening of its 100th center and has continued expanding into communities seeking structured youth development programs.

The organization's advisory network includes experts from child development, education, medicine, and fitness industries, reflecting its emphasis on evidence-based programming.

Bringing Parents Into the Experience

One feature that distinguishes KidStrong from many youth activity programs is its emphasis on parent involvement.

The planned Conroe center will include a dedicated viewing area, allowing parents to observe classes and celebrate milestones as children progress through challenges and skill-building exercises. The company says this approach helps strengthen connections between parents and children while reinforcing confidence and achievement.

The program also emphasizes trained coaches who guide children through structured activities in a supportive environment designed to encourage participation and personal growth.

Why It Matters for Conroe Families

As Conroe continues to experience residential growth and attract young families, demand for children's enrichment programs has expanded alongside new neighborhoods, schools, and community amenities.

The addition of a KidStrong center could provide another option for parents seeking activities that combine fitness, social development, and confidence-building opportunities for children. The facility's location along North Frazier Street places it near one of the city's primary commercial corridors, making it accessible to families throughout Conroe and surrounding Montgomery County communities.

For parents researching youth fitness programs, child development activities, or family-focused businesses in Conroe, the project represents another example of the area's continuing investment in services designed to support growing families.

What Happens Next

Construction is currently projected to begin in July 2026, with completion anticipated by July 2027. Additional details regarding memberships, class schedules, and opening dates are expected to become available as the project progresses.

As construction moves forward, local families will be watching to see how the nationally growing children's training program becomes part of the Conroe community.
