Katy's Inaugural Community Heroes Parade to Honor First Responders and Local Champions on June 14
A heartfelt tribute to those who serve and uplift the Katy community is set to roll through town this summer. On Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Westcom 911 Dispatch will present its first-ever Community Heroes Parade, honoring first responders, healthcare workers, nonprofits, and businesses whose efforts make everyday life better for all.
In partnership with Harris County Emergency Services District 48 (HCESD48), Willowfork Fire Department, Community Volunteer Fire Department, and other local agencies, this event will spotlight the real-life heroes often working behind the scenes.
A Parade Route with Purpose
The festive route begins at Westheimer Parkway and Peek Road, winding its way through the heart of Katy and concluding at Cinco Ranch Boulevard and Peek Road. Residents can expect a vibrant display of emergency vehicles, floats representing charitable organizations, healthcare workers, and local businesses—all united in celebration of service and community resilience.
Honoring Everyday Heroes
This inaugural event is more than just a parade—it’s a public salute to those who rise to the occasion during times of crisis and calm alike. The Community Heroes Parade aims to deepen public appreciation for the tireless efforts of emergency responders, frontline workers, and the nonprofits who support neighbors in need.
Whether it’s a firefighter rushing into danger, a nurse providing compassionate care, or a small business donating time and resources, the parade offers a moment to pause and say thank you.
