Katy Christian Ministries Teams Up with Katy Community to Tackle Hunger with Souper Bowl of Caring 2025 Initiative
As the excitement of Super Bowl season approaches, Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) is calling on the Katy and West Houston community to team up for a greater cause—tackling hunger. Through its annual Souper Bowl of Caring initiative, KCM is mobilizing residents to make a difference in the lives of families facing food insecurity.
The Souper Bowl of Caring is a national movement aimed at addressing hunger through grassroots efforts. Over the past three decades, this initiative has generated over $193 million in local support for food charities nationwide. In the last three years alone, participants have raised over $25 million in food and monetary donations, proving that small actions can have a monumental impact.

How to Get Involved in Souperbowl of Caring
KCM encourages individuals, schools, workplaces, churches, and neighborhoods to organize food drives and collect non-perishable items such as canned soups, rice, pasta, peanut butter, and more. Donations can be dropped off at the KCM Food Pantry, located at 3506 Porter Rd, Katy, TX 77493, during drop-off hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
“This is a chance for our community to come together in the spirit of giving and create meaningful change,” said Barry Ochsner with KCM. “Every can counts, and together, we can score big against hunger this Souper Bowl season.”
KCM invites participants to share their food drive efforts on social media by tagging the organization and using the hashtag #SouperBowl2025, further spreading the word and inspiring others to join the fight against hunger.
