Katy Christian Ministries Launches Annual Santa's Sleigh Initiative

The holidays might feel like they are a distant thought, but Christmas is just over two months away. Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) is already springing into action to help bridge the gap for families in need across the Katy area with their annual Santa's Sleigh initiative.
What is Santa’s Sleigh?
KCM Social Services helps families find and maintain some balance when they fall into financial crisis. Celebrating Christmas can be really hard for these families who are struggling just to keep a roof over their heads and the lights turned on. The Santa’s Sleigh program is only for active clients of KCM Social Services who have met with their case managers for a full assessment of their needs. Your participation can help restore hope and joy in the hearts of these families.
Adopting a Child(ren) or Senior Adult for Christmas this Year is Easy!
Step 1: Click the “Adopt a Child/Senior” button below to fill out the online adoption form.
Step 2: You will be contacted by one of our Santa’s Sleigh “Elves” (Volunteers), who will match you with a child or senior adult’s wish list, and give you all the details about shopping for your adoptee, how to package and label the items, where to drop off your donations, and answer any questions you have.
Step 3: Shop! Have fun shopping for the child or senior adult on your list and drop off your donations at the scheduled time and place. You can request a receipt for your donations at drop-off, as they are tax-deductible!
Donation Drop Off
Deliver your Santa Sack(s) filled with the UNWRAPPED gifts to Katy ISD Merrell Center, located at 6301 S. Stadium Lane, Katy, TX 77494 – West Entrance. Delivery time is Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm ONLY – NO EARLY OR UNATTENDED DROP-OFF, PLEASE.
In 2022, the KCM Santa's Sleigh Program assisted 3,604 children and senior adults with gifts for Christmas. KCM utilized the Merrell Center in Katy ISD to help with sorting and organization last year, with members of the community, organizations, schools and other groups turning out in support along every step of the way to make Santa's Sleigh a success.
