Jordan High School National Merit Semifinalists Lead with Academic Excellence
Jordan High School is celebrating a significant academic milestone, with 15 seniors named as 2026 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. These students have joined the elite ranks of high school scholars across the country recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®).
The distinction is awarded to students scoring in the top one percent on the PSAT/NMSQT, an exam taken by over 1.3 million high school juniors each year. The NMSC, established in 1955, identifies and honors exceptional academic talent through its long-standing scholarship program.
“These remarkable students embody the hard work and dedication of our Katy ISD students,” said Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership & Support Emily Craig. “This accomplishment reflects their commitment to academic excellence and the unwavering commitment of their families, teachers and school communities.”
