Johnson Development Breaks Ground on New Grange Community in Katy Area

March 22 2024

In a recent announcement from Johnson Development, the developer revealed the name of their newest project in the Katy area - Grange. This new community brings a rustic charm that pays homage to the area's agricultural roots, as "Grange" is defined as a farm or agricultural estate. Situated at Morton Road and FM 2855, the 1,130-acre development will encompass approximately 2,400 homes, all holding a Katy address.

Breaking ground recently, Grange is the latest addition to the Johnson Development portfolio. Johnson Development, renowned for cultivating communities throughout the Houston region, including Fort Bend County, Galveston County, Montgomery County, and Harris County, is spearheading this venture in collaboration with Plow Realty. This partnership aims to develop the 1,146-acre plot in Waller County, paving the way for the creation of this quaint, countryside community.

As part of the Grange community, families can look forward to being part of the esteemed Katy Independent School District. Offering high-quality education in a nurturing environment, the Katy ISD is an added draw for people seeking to call Grange their home.

Sales for homes in Grange are scheduled to commence in early 2025, following the start of infrastructure construction that began in the second quarter of 2023. Builders are expected to receive homesites during the fourth quarter of 2024, signaling the progression towards the completion of this unique development.

Johnson Development's reputation for pioneering top-selling master-planned communities nationwide over the past five years puts Grange at the forefront of residential properties to watch. With its strategic location north of Interstate 10 and the Grand Parkway, Grange combines convenience with rural charm for an idyllic living environment in Katy.
