How to Submit Exterior Modifications for Approval in Cypress Point

Well, the good news is that at Cypress Point, your dream can turn into a reality. In an effort to protect our residents' rights and maintain the aesthetic appeal of our community, we have established an Architectural Review Committee that oversees exterior modifications and improvements. The process for getting your modifications approved is simple, straightforward, and designed with you in mind!
Step 1: Craft Your Plan
Determine what type of modification you're interested in, whether it's updating an existing feature like doors, windows, or siding, enhancing the landscape, or installing a permanent structure like a pool or an outdoor kitchen. Once you have a clear plan, you're all set to move to step 2.
Step 2: Gather Your Documentation
To ensure that your modification fits seamlessly with Cypress Point aesthetics, you'll need to provide some details about your project. This includes a materials list, manufacturer's specification sheet, dimensions of the improvement, and a photo or design rendering of the finished look. Depending on your project, you may also need to provide a paint/stain color chip sample or an engineered lot survey showing the location of the improvement.
Step 3: Submit Your Application
The final step is to submit your application in writing to the Architectural Review Committee PRIOR to initiating work on your project. Make sure to include all required information for a smooth approval process. If something is missing, don't worry – we'll notify you about the missing items. You'll then have 10 business days to submit the required information.
Committee approval is a necessity before work begins on any exterior modification. Residents who fail to get approval risk having to remove the unauthorized modification. We've put this in place to protect the architectural integrity of our beloved Cypress Point community.
