How Harris County Precinct 3 Residents Can Report Road, Park, and Community Maintenance Issues

February 20 2025

Did you know that Harris County Precinct 3 residents can help keep their neighborhoods safe, clean, and well-maintained by reporting issues such as road repairs, fallen tree branches, and park maintenance needs directly to Precinct 3 officials? Whether it’s a pothole on a busy road, damaged playground equipment at a local park, or a restroom in need of cleaning at a community center, Precinct 3 provides an easy way for residents to report concerns and ensure that public spaces remain safe and accessible for everyone.

How to Report an Issue in Precinct 3

Residents have multiple ways to report non-emergency maintenance concerns in their communities:

Led by Commissioner Tom S. Ramsey, Harris County Precinct 3 covers 75% of unincorporated Harris County, including your neighborhood, maintaining a total of nearly 6,800 miles of roadway, 72 parks, and 10 community and nature centers. The precinct’s maintenance responsibilities include road reconstruction, tree trimming, storm debris removal, pothole repairs, sign installation, ditch maintenance, right-of-way mowing, and more.

By reporting damaged sidewalks, drainage concerns, litter cleanup, and traffic sign issues, residents help ensure the county can respond more efficiently to problem areas that need attention.

Keeping Parks and Trails Safe and Enjoyable

Harris County Precinct 3 is home to beautiful parks and trails where families, nature lovers, and fitness enthusiasts enjoy the outdoors. If you come across a damaged walking trail, broken park benches, or restroom facilities that need cleaning, you can submit a service request using the Precinct 3 reporting system. Alternatively, service requests can be made by phone or email.

Some of the most popular parks and trails in the Cypress area include:

  • Telge Park – A forest-lined park featuring trails, a creek, and picnic areas.
  • Cypress Park – A scenic lake park with walking trails and fishing spots.
  • Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve – A large preserve with over 80 acres of greenspace, featuring a lake, trails, and picnic areas.
  • Little Cypress Creek Preserve – A nature reserve with hiking and equestrian trails.

If you notice fallen tree limbs, graffiti, damaged playground equipment, or maintenance issues at these or any other Precinct 3 parks, report them so they can be addressed promptly.

Maintaining Precinct 3’s Community Centers

Precinct 3 operates several community centers across the precinct where residents can participate in fitness classes, senior activities, arts and crafts, and educational programs. If you visit a center and notice leaking roofs, heating or cooling issues, or broken equipment, reporting it helps keep these important facilities in top condition for everyone to enjoy.

Notable Precinct 3 community centers in the Cypress area include:

  • Juergen’s Hall Community Center – A historic venue that hosts community activities, private events, and educational programs.

If you experience any maintenance concerns while visiting these facilities, reporting them helps ensure they remain safe and enjoyable for the community.
