Houston SPCA Pet of the Week: Lucky

October 25 2023

Meet Lucky, a 6 year-old female domestic short haired cat currently looking her a fur-ever home. This sweet cat is lucky to be given a second chance of life by the Houston SPCA! Will you give her a second chance of love?

A Message from Lucky

Man, I am LUCKY to be given a second chance of life! The Houston SPCA Rescue Ambulance found me with an injured leg, lost and alone. I was in need of some serious medical help - luckily the incredible veterinary team was able to help me feel much better.

Now that I've joined the Tri-Paw club, I hop around looking for treats and attention. I've mastered the delicate skill of caressing myself against her favorite humans. So, get ready to be my personal human scratching post - it's an honor! I could lay next to you for hours receiving unlimited head scratches. I may be 6 years old, but I still have a little pep in my step and lots of adventures to have. With my playful yet calm personality, I would be perfect in any home - from kids to adults, all humans are my favorite.

I hope to see you this weekend! Let’s hang out in our play yard and you can also meet my other roommates! I'm available for $25, including my microchip, spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, a free sample bag of Hill’s Pet Nutrition, and a free post-exam from any VCA Animal Hospital.

The Houston SPCA Adoption Center is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adoptions are open daily Monday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can view all the available pets in advance at houstonspca.org. To learn more about Houston SPCA, please visit their website at houstonspca.org
