Houston Restaurant Weeks 2026 Brings 22 Dining Choices to Spring, Conroe, New Caney and The Woodlands
Houston Restaurant Weeks is returning with one of its strongest north Houston and Montgomery County lineups, giving residents 22 places to dine locally while supporting restaurants and regional hunger relief.
The 2026 event runs from Aug. 1 through Sept. 7 and features specially priced prix fixe brunch, lunch and dinner menus. A portion of participating meal purchases benefits Houston Food Bank, which serves Southeast Texas and works alongside partner food banks, including Montgomery County Food Bank.
For residents of Spring, Shenandoah, Conroe, New Caney and The Woodlands, the campaign offers choices ranging from a historic Old Town Spring gathering place to Brazilian steakhouses, Mexican cuisine, seafood restaurants and special-occasion dining along The Woodlands Waterway.
The timing is important for participating businesses. Restaurants throughout the region are operating amid increased food and labor costs, tighter margins and a summer slowdown. Houston Restaurant Weeks is designed to bring diners through their doors during that difficult stretch while giving customers a way to enjoy a set-price meal.
Participating Restaurants in Spring and Shenandoah
Three restaurants have been announced in Spring and Shenandoah:
- Sal e Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse — Shenandoah
- Wunsche Bros Cafe and Saloon — Old Town Spring
- Xalisko Cocina Mexicana — Lake Woodlands Drive, Spring
The list reflects the variety found across the Spring area. Sal e Brasa offers a Brazilian steakhouse experience, while Xalisko Cocina Mexicana provides a contemporary Mexican dining option.
Wunsche Bros Cafe and Saloon brings the campaign into the heart of Old Town Spring, where dining is closely tied to the history and character of the community.
Conroe and New Caney Restaurant Weeks Locations
Residents farther north and east can participate at:

These locations give families in Conroe and New Caney opportunities to participate without making a longer trip into central Houston. Their inclusion also reflects the increasingly regional reach of Houston Restaurant Weeks as residential and commercial growth continues along Interstate 45 and the Grand Parkway.

The Woodlands lineup includes restaurants suited to a range of occasions, from a weekday lunch to a family gathering or a more formal dinner. Diners can find Italian food, seafood, steak, Malaysian cuisine, Latin American flavors and contemporary American menus within a relatively compact area.
North Italia and Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood & Crab are among the restaurants identified as new to the 2026 campaign, while familiar participants such as Amrina, Mastro’s Ocean Club, Perry’s, Phat Eatery and The Capital Grille are returning.
Menus and meal periods differ by restaurant. Diners should consult the official Houston Restaurant Weeks listings before making reservations, particularly when planning a weekend dinner or special occasion.
A Houston-Born Tradition With a Charitable Mission
The late Cleverley Stone founded Houston Restaurant Weeks in 2003 after recognizing that August was often one of the most challenging months for the restaurant industry.
Stone was a restaurant correspondent and philanthropist whose career included print, radio and television work. She became known for championing Houston’s chefs and encouraging residents to support the local dining scene.
Her Dine Out & Do Good concept connected those restaurants with hunger relief. The Cleverley Stone Foundation now produces the annual event under the leadership of her daughter, Katie Stone.
“My mother started Houston Restaurant Weeks in 2003 to help restaurants through their hardest month, and that mission has never mattered more than it does right now,” Katie Stone said. “So many of our restaurants are fighting to stay open in a difficult economy. When Houstonians choose to Dine Out & Do Good, they are not only helping feed families through the Houston Food Bank, they are throwing a lifeline to the local businesses and the people behind them who make this city what it is. Every reservation truly makes a difference.”
Houston Restaurant Weeks has raised more than $23 million for Houston Food Bank since its creation, helping provide the equivalent of more than 70 million meals. It is now considered the food bank’s largest annual fundraiser.
How the Food Bank Network Reaches Montgomery County
Houston Food Bank serves 18 counties through approximately 1,600 community partners, including local food pantries, schools, soup kitchens and social-service organizations. The food bank reports providing access to 143 million nutritious meals while maintaining a strong focus on healthy food and fresh produce.
Its services also include nutrition education, connections to health-management programs and assistance with state-funded benefits.
In Montgomery County, Houston Food Bank works alongside Montgomery County Food Bank as part of the broader regional response to hunger. Houston Restaurant Weeks proceeds are designated for Houston Food Bank, while the organizations’ partnership helps strengthen access to food and resources across county lines.
That distinction matters for local diners: a Restaurant Weeks meal supports Houston Food Bank’s regional mission while participating restaurants in Spring, Conroe, New Caney and The Woodlands receive business during a challenging season.
What Happens Next
More than 350 restaurants are expected to participate across Greater Houston. The list will be updated daily leading up to Aug. 1, meaning additional Montgomery County or north Houston restaurants could join the campaign.
