Honoring Hearthstone Resident Heather Smith: Candlelight Vigil and Support for Her Family
Dear Hearthstone Community,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of our beloved neighbor, Heather Smith. Heather's life was cut short in an unimaginable act of violence that has left our community deeply shaken. As we navigate this profound loss, we come together to honor Heather's memory and offer support to her grieving family.
A candlelight procession and prayer vigil will be held in Heather's honor on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 7:00 PM. The procession will begin at the intersection of Beechmoor and Creek Crest and will proceed to Heather’s home at 14915 Beechmoor Drive. There, neighbors, friends and loved ones will gather for a heartfelt vigil, where we will sing hymns and reflect on Heather’s life. Please join us in wearing Prairie View A&M colors—purple and gold—as we unite in remembrance. We kindly ask that there be no balloon release at this event.
