
Heat Stroke or Heat Exhaustion?

Can you tell the differences between heat stroke and heat exhaustion? Well, a key difference in symptoms of heat stroke is a high body temperature of 103º F or higher, confusion, a fast strong pulse, or losing consciousness. On the other hand, heat exhaustion will present a fast weak pulse, heavy sweating, muscle cramps, and pale or clammy skin. Heat exhaustion occurs when your body loses an excessive amount of water and salt, a heat stroke is when your body is unable cool itself. You should call 911 right away if you think you or someone nearby is having a heat stroke.
