Healthy Kids Running Series Returns to Cypress This November with Family-Focused Fall Fun
This fall, children across Cypress will have a chance to lace up their sneakers, build confidence, and have fun outdoors as the Healthy Kids Running Series - Cypress, TX returns for its fall 2025 season. The five-week race series begins Sunday, November 2, and runs through November 30, with events held from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. each Sunday at the D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA at Cypress Creek, located at 19915 TX-249, Houston, TX 77070.
Designed to get kids moving in a positive, supportive environment, the program is open to children ages 2 through 14 and includes a Challenger Division specifically for children with disabilities and special needs. Online registration is now open, with early bird pricing available until October 12.
Healthy Kids Running Series (HKRS) was founded in 2009 to motivate kids to lead an active lifestyle through age-appropriate running events. The nonprofit’s mission is grounded in values like kindness, impact, and inclusion—principles that shine through each season, including here in Cypress.
“We want to give every child the chance to feel accomplished and celebrate their success,” said Alyson White, Community Coordinator for the HKRS Cypress team. “This is about building healthy habits and confidence, one race at a time.”
